What do I need for wakeboarding?
For wakeboarding you need a board, boots (or some call them bindings) an impact vest and a helmet. At Matos we also have bags to keep all your gear together and to keep your car clean.
Is wakeboarding difficult?
It is not that hard to learn how to wakeboard. Especially behind a 2.0 cable, which is an cable that goes up and down it is easy and safe to learn how to wakeboard. Some full-size cables have special hours for beginners.
What is the difference between the wakeboards?
There is a lot of difference between the wakeboards, the outline, rocker, channels can all differ from each other. At Matos we have a lot of experience helping our customers find the perfect board for their riding style and level.
What size board do I need?
Wakeboards have been getting bigger over the past years. A bigger wakeboard has more surface to press on rails and to land softly. When you are just starting you should go for an average board for your bodyweight, and once you have more experience you can choose to ride a bigger board.
Which wakeboard brands do you sell at Matos?
At Matos we sell wakeboard gear from Slingshot, Liquid Force, Jobe, Hyperlite, and we sell impact vests, helmets and accessories from Follow and ION.
