What is a good beginners board?
Every brand has a good beginner board and several freeride boards that are very suitable for beginners. A good beginners twintip has a flat rocker line, a straight outline and is flexible. These are all specifications that will help you ride and progress easily.
Which size twintip should I choose?
The right size for your twintip depends on your level, body type and the conditions at your homespot. In the beginning a bigger board will help you with fast planning and good upwind performance. For extremely light wind days there are special ligt wind twintips.
What makes for the difference in price?
The biggest difference in price is because of the material which is used for the twintip. Most kiteboards are build with a wood core, but some are reinforced or completely build from carbon. Most of the more expensive boards are build with higher quality materials and more advanced techniques. The entry level twintips are often cheaper and great for when you are just getting started. When your level is improving you can choose to invest in a more high-end board.
What is a good freeride, big air or freestyle board?
A good freeride board is more flexible what makes for a more comfortable ride in choppy conditions. A good big air board is stiffer, and has a strong, light carbon construction. A good freestyle board has more rocker and is very stiff for an aggressive pop.
